Homeschool & Charter

These classes are created collaboratively with the parents. An English Language Arts class typically integrates all five literacy skills(phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension and fluency); narrative and expository writing skills; and writing conventions in the ninety minutes. A math class typically supports number sense using the Stern Arithmetic Levels I, II and III.

A Writer’s Workshop class is also offered which specifically focuses on written expression using the traditional components of this method: daily writing, sharing, planning, drafting, composing, revising, editing and effective and timely feedback.
