Individual Support

A student with mild to moderate learning disabilities, or a student who is simply struggling with academics might benefit from the support of an educational specialist who draws from research-based instructional techniques.  It is important to provide this support in collaboration with school staff, outside specialists, parents, and the student.  After initial data has been gathered, and interviews held with the parent(s) and student an instructional plan is created.

This kind of support has provided great benefit to:

  • Students who are learning English as a second language
  • Students with specific learning disabilities in such areas as:
    • Basic reading skills
    • Basic math facts and math reasoning
    • Written expression
  • Students diagnosed with:
    • Non-verbal learning disability
    • Autism-spectrum-disorder
    • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD and ADHD Inattentive-Type)
    • Radical Attachment Disorder
    • Selective mutism
    • Bi-polar syndrome
